What You Should Consider BEFORE Undergoing Tattoo Removal
There comes a point in the lives of many tattooed people where they want to undergo tattoo removal. Reasons vary – some people want to get a new job and need clean skin to qualify; some are embarrassed that they got a tattoo of the president during a night of drunken revelry; some are hurting from the memories of an ex-girlfriend's name emblazoned across their chest.
Maybe you want to get rid of a hate symbol that's been a burdensome source of pain and conflict?
Maybe you want to disassociate yourself from a violent, anti-social gang?
Whatever YOUR reason for wanting to erase tattoos, if you're considering tattoo removal, here are a few insights.
Tattoo Removal - Erase Me Not...
Tattoo removal is expensive. Actually, it can be far more expensive than the original tattoo. We're talking thousands of dollars per procedure here. If you have that kind of money and really want the tattoo gone, by all means have the procedure. If you're just considering having a design done and think that it'll be easier later on to remove tattoos, think again. It will cost you an arm and a leg. And speaking of an arm and a leg...
Tattoo removal leaves scars...or discoloration... or both. Your skin won't just be like before; there will be some form of scarring left over. Unless you're trying to get rid of tattoos that promote hate and evil, you might want to hang on to more innocuous tattoos (just how bad is that small tattoo of Tweety Pie on your shoulder?) Better than a frightful patch of deformed skin but then again, to each his own.
Tattoo removal is painful. Some say it's like getting a tattoo so if you can stand getting a tattoo in the first place, you can take the hurt from tattoo removal. Others, however, say it's a lot worse than that, especially when opting for laser surgery (which some describe as being lathered with boiling oil). There are other less painful methods of tattoo removal but there will always be a certain amount of discomfort involved.
To erase tattoos is not easy but then again, if you really want to take that step, IT IS a doable procedure. You can at least take heart in that. Right, dude?
